He received the Bronze Star for combat, the Purple Heart, the European Theater and Prisoner of War medals, four Battle Stars, National Defense Service ribbon and a commendation from France for his Military efforts.

He worked for 24 years as a pyrotechnician and chief pyrotechnician for Fireworks by Grucci. He traveled to the Bahamas, China, Puerto Rico and all over the United States to put on fireworks shows. He participated in five presidential inauguration fireworks show productions, and the 2000 Winter Olympics fireworks.
