11/23/14: Thomas Heidel, 50, of 39 Haddam Neck Rd., East Hampton was involved in a one car motor vehicle accident on Middletown Avenue. Heidel was arrested for Driving Under the Influence, Reckless Endangerment, Reckless Driving, Failure to Drive Right and Failure to Stop at a Stop Sign. Heidel was scheduled to appear before the Middletown Superior Court on Wednesday, December 3, at 9 a.m. to answer to the aforementioned charges. … Continue Reading

The food bank which helps approximately 350 families according to a representative, is no exception, and with the upcoming holiday season the need is even greater. Election Day is just two weeks away, and Connecticut in an effort to get people registered will hold a statewide voter registration session, Tuesday, Oct. 28, from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

In East Hampton eligible residents can register with the town clerk until Oct. 28; on that day people should go to the Registrar of Voters Office located at 20 High Street.
