East Hampton artists present April All Arts Night

The Art Alcove and 66 Main Marketplace will host “April All Arts Night” from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Friday, April 5.

Local artists will show their works for the whole month of April.

Refreshments will be served.

April’s featured artist is Paul Hoffman of East Hampton, CT. After over 25 years as a graphic designer, he took lessons from one of  New England’s most accomplished impressionist painters in September 1999 and Hoffman’s work began showing in Hartford County galleries in March of the following year.

In 2002, he began teaching “open air” painting for beginning and intermediate students in West Hartford.

For the past 10 years, Hoffman also taught Plein Air Painting to gifted middle school students and their teachers through the Connecticut Association of Schools.

Join us on April 5 and enjoy a wealth of local art.

Artists are charged $25 a month for a 5-foot space, with no commission taken.

Court finds Apple part of conspiracy to fix eBook pricing

Cote of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of New York said that evidence presented in a trial held in June 2013 shows that Apple played a central role in facilitating and executing a conspiracy designed to eliminate retail price competition in order to raise eBook prices.

To date, approximately $164 million has been recovered through settlements for consumers nationwide.
