A nationally-touring film fest for and about women comes to Epoch Arts in East Hampton, CT on Saturday, March 16.

A nationally-touring film fest for and about women comes to Epoch Arts in East Hampton, CT on Saturday, March 16.

LUNAFEST, the nationally touring, fundraising film festival dedicated to promoting awareness about women’s issues, highlighting women filmmakers and bringing women together in their communities, will be hosted by Epoch Arts and East Hampton Youth and Family Services on Saturday, March 16 at Epoch Arts in East Hampton, CT.

This unique film festival highlights women as leaders in society – illustrated through nine short films by women filmmakers.

The films range from animation to fictional drama, and cover topics such as women’s health, motherhood, body image, aging, cultural diversity and breaking barriers.

LUNAFEST, which is created and funded by LUNA®, The Whole Nutrition Bar for Women®, raised more than $556,000 for the Breast Cancer Fund and more than $1,000,000 for other women’s non-profit organizations.

At this event, Epoch Arts also will host an Artisans Fair with a variety of food and desserts for sale and featuring handcrafted jewelry, pottery, soaps, candles, knit items and more.

Live music will be performed by the group, Seat of Our Pants.

Join your community in supporting the important work of preventing and eliminating breast cancer, violence against women and gender inequity AND celebrate and enjoy these fabulous films.

Doors open at 4 p.m. with the local Artisans Fair. Films begin at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 and seating is limited.
