In East Hampton – Wreaths Across America ceremony is Dec. 15

An additional wreath will be place in East Hampton in honor of the late Gov. William O’Neill, who served in the Air Force during the Korean conflict.

The 2012 Wreaths Across American ceremonies will be held on Saturday, Dec. 15 in East Hampton and Marlborough, CT.

Seven specially-designed ceremonial wreaths will be placed in honor of the sacrifices made by members of the Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Coast Guard, Merchant Marines as well as in remembrance of POW/MIAs.

An additional wreath will be place in East Hampton in honor of the late Gov. William O’Neill, who served in the Air Force during the Korean conflict.

Wreaths Across American (WAA) is a national, nonprofit organization whose mission is to “Remember, Honor and Teach.”

The ceremonies will be led by Linda Wallace, regent for the Nathan Hale Memorial Chapter – Daughters of the American Revolution.

In East Hampton, you can take part in the ceremony at noon at East Hampton VFW Post 5095 at 20 North Maple St. (across from East Hampton High School.) The Marlborough ceremony will be held at 1:30 p.m. on the Marlborough Town Green.
