Candidates for State Representative for the 34th District (which includes East Haddam, East Hampton and part of Colchester), Christopher Goff (D) and Melissa Ziobron (GOP) have been invited to speak at a candidate forum on Thursday, Oct 11.

The event will be held from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Sears Park Boat House in East Hampton, CT.

The candidates will be asked to answer three questions concerning their qualifications and vision for the district.

After answering the questions, each candidate will have an opportunity to summarize their platform and qualifications, and to meet with their constituents.

Light refreshments and beverages will be served.

The winner in this election on Nov. 6 will fill the vacancy left by Rep. Gail Hamm.

The forum is hosted by the Chatham Party, an independent party of East Hampton that includes Democrats, Republicans, Libertarians and Independents.

Since each district has its own unique needs and interests, the Chatham Party believes it’s important for voters to have an opportunity to meet with and hear the view of these candidates.

The public is invited and encouraged to attend the forum.

However, because seating and parking space is limited, the Chatham Party asks you to please preregister at emailus@thechathamparty.org and seating will be assigned in order of responses.
