Summer is here and so is the free Gazebo Music Series, now in its 14th season. And you can help keep this fun, community event going.

The Joseph N. Goff House is once again asking for the support of individuals, local businesses and organizations to sponsor this series that takes place on four Thursday evenings in the summer at the Gazebo in East Hampton’s Old Village Center.

The series brings out about 150 people per concert who enjoy a wide variety of music, from jazz to classic rock to bluegrass.

Sponsors are listed (by donation level) in public relations efforts and on flyers displayed around town and handed out at concerts.

In addition, Soprano and Alto sponsors ($150 and $75 levels) are listed on a large banner that hangs on the gazebo during each concert.

Lastly, the MC acknowledges “Soprano” level sponsors during concert intermissions.

Scheduled performers for the 2012 series are:

  • June 28, The Larry Gareau Quartet – Jazz Version of Contemporary Favorites
  • July 19, Side Doors – Creative Mix of Eclectic, Original & Classic Songs
  • July 26, The Modern Riffs  – Jazz, Swing and Classic Rock performed by adult and high school musicians from the area

The concerts are held on the East Hampton Center School lawn on Summit Street at the Gazebo. In the event of inclement weather, the concerts move into the Fellowship Hall at the adjacent Congregational Church.

Concerts begin at 6:30 pm and conclude at 8:30 p.m.

Bring your folding chair, a blanket, a picnic and enjoy the music.

The Joseph N. Goff House, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization and donations are tax deductible. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor or would like more information on the series, call 860-267-7969 or mail your donations to: The Joseph N. Goff House, c/o Debi Rotteck, 163 Hog Hill Road, East Hampton, CT 06424.
