You are invited to Get Lost in Heritage event

The brochure showcases the region’s historical assets including: the Chester Museum at the Mill, The Stone House in Deep River, the East Haddam Historical Society Museum, Thankful Arnold House in Haddam, General Mansfield House in Middletown and the General William Hart House in Old Saybrook.
Please join us on Sunday, May 6, 2012 from 4 to 6 p.m., for the launch of a new historical tourism brochure, “Get Lost in Heritage,” to be held at the East Haddam Historical Society, 264 Town St., East Haddam, CT.

The brochure is a collaborative project of the Lower River Valley Heritage, which is made up of six organizations:
- Chester Historical Society,
- Deep River Historical Society,
- East Haddam Historical Society,
- Haddam Historical Society,
- Middlesex County Historical Society and
- Old Saybrook Historical Society.
The brochure showcases the region’s historical assets including: the Chester Museum at the Mill, The Stone House in Deep River, the East Haddam Historical Society Museum, Thankful Arnold House in Haddam, General Mansfield House in Middletown and the General William Hart House in Old Saybrook.
Each site sheds its own unique light on American history.
Visitors to the museums featured in the “Get Lost in Heritage” brochure will receive colorful bracelets with the “Get Lost” theme – collect all six! Visitors also will be entered in a drawing to win an overnight stay at the Saybrook Point Inn in Old Saybrook, CT or the Inn at Middletown in Middletown, CT.
The brochure was funded by a grant from the Connecticut Humanities Council.
