In East Hampton, mark your calendar for the Blessing of the Fleet

Once again, the Friends of Lake Pocotopaug will host the annual Blessing of the Fleet, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 24 at Angelico's Lakehouse Restaurant, 81 North Main St., East Hampton, CT. Photo courtesy of EHFLP

Once again, the East Hampton Friends of Lake Pocotopaug will host the annual Blessing of the Fleet, at 2 p.m. on Sunday, June 24 at Angelico’s Lakehouse Restaurant, 81 North Main St., East Hampton, CT.

Boat owners will assemble at Angelico’s dock and the Friend’s captain will lead a scenic cruise around the lake.

The cruise concludes at Angelico’s, where Father Naigle from St. Patrick Church will bless the fleet, after which there will be a pig roast and luau buffet.

Music will provided by John Moore and Eric Tripoli.

And each boat captain receives a free buffet ticket.

Everyone is welcome join in – you don’t need a boat to participate.
