A Local Bizz – Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day at the Governor’s Tavern
We visited a local spot with lots of history, Governor’s Tavern at 26 East High St., East Hampton, CT to hear a bit about the history, the great menu and full service bar.
Started by the O’Neill family more than 40 years ago, Governor’s Tavern is a traditional Irish tavern with an expansive menu including the Irish favorite, Corned Beef and Cabbage, and owner Colin Kilpatrick has plans for traditional music and Irish bands this week to celebrate the holiday.
We had a great time meeting Colin (who very graciously let Jean rename him Colin Fitzpatrick), his staff and some of the patrons at Governor’s Tavern – we’re sure you’ll have a great time there too!
Hours: Sunday – Thursday 11:00 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.; the bar is open until 1:00 a.m., Friday – Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.; the bar is open until 2:00 a.m.
