East Hampton residents create Web site to rally opposition to removal of police chief

The "Take Back Our Town" Web site is offering T-shirts and removable bumperstickers.

Residents may not be able to speak out during the July 2 hearing, but they can wear a T-shirt with the message “Bring Back the Chief – Fire O’Keefe.”

“The police chief, who was involved in the [sexual harassment] investigation [of O'Keefe], as well as one of the victim/complainants of the allegation, have been terminated. It’s just too much of a coincidence to believe that the events are not related.”
