Some help for parents of “difficult” children… The East Haddam Early Childhood Council presents, “No I won’t and you can’t make me!” about handling children’s power struggles. The presentation is highly recommended for parents of children from pre-school age to grade 8.

Get ready to learn, laugh and have some fun seeing your child’s behavior from a different perspective with the help of Bill Corbett. His workshops and classes help parents and professionals examine what they currently have in their “discipline toolbox” and evaluate the fact that many of these tools are outdated or no longer work.

About the speaker

Bill Corbett is author of the book Love, Limits & Lessons: a parent’s guide to raising cooperative kids™ and founder of Cooperative Kids.

He is a member of the American Psychological Association (APA), the National Children’s Alliance (NCA), and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).

At the conclusion of this seminar, Corbett will be available to sign copies of his new book. A portion of the proceeds from book sales are donated to Network Against Domestic Abuse (NADA).

“No I won’t and you can’t make me!” will be presented from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 10 at the First Church of Christ, 499 Town Street, East Haddam. It is free and open to the public. Childcare will be available, and refreshments will be served at intermission.

Training certificates also are available.
