“We know that there are some people who are reluctant to vaccinate, and they have heard information that concerns them. I want to make sure they have good information to address those concerns, so that they can make good choices… we need to share what we know when we know it, even if it’s bad news,” Schuchat said.

There are 73 young people in the show – from East Hampton, East Haddam, Middletown, Colchester, Marlborough, Portland, Cromwell, Meriden, Willimantic and Hartford.

The designs were never publicized, put on the town’s Web site, or shared with the community.

More than 30 K-9 teams competed in the July 25 Connecticut Police K-9 Olympics.

There will be cash prizes, and refreshments will be served.
