East Hampton Farmers Market — kicks off on June 27

by: admin Friday, June 26th, 2009

farmersmarket-htnpWhat’s better than fresh food and knowing that your shopping dollar is helping to support local growers?

These are just two of the reasons that more and more farmer’s markets are “cropping up” around the state.

In East Hampton, the local farmer’s market gets started at 9 a.m. this Saturday at the Congregational Church of East Hampton, located at 59 Main St.

The market will now be open every Saturday until Sept. 26, with the exception of the Old Home Day celebration (July 9-11).

For more information, contact the East Hampton Farmers Market Master Rick Walker at 267-7180.

Old fashioned Towny Said:

The people attending this ought to park on the grass at the school if the church parking lot is full. Too many close calls, car accident wise, because people park in the street on BOTH sides, taking up the whole of Main Street. Please be considerate and park off the road. Thanks
