It’s time to get working on your float for this year’s Old Home Days parade
Old Home Days is about two months away – and that’s just about enough time for organizations, civic groups, clubs and anyone else who would like to participate this year, to start planning their floats or gathering their marching units for the parade.
The East Hampton Old Home Days Glorious Celebration will be held on July 9-11 this year, and the parade is scheduled for Saturday, July 11.
The East Hampton Old Home Day Parade is the largest in Middlesex County. This year’s parade theme is “Favorite Movies.”
Awards will be presented for floats that best exemplify the “favorite movie” theme.
To register your group’s float or marching unit, please contact Parade Chairman, Russell Oakes, at 860-2678533.
You can also download a float application form from the Old Home Days website at http://www.easthamptonoldhomedays.org and mail the completed form to: Russell Oakes, 28 Quiet Woods Road, East Hampton, CT 06424.
