U.S. Postal Service slashing jobs – starting at the top

In response to its ongoing financial crisis, the U.S. Postal Service announced today that it is eliminating jobs across the country, offering early retirement to 150,000 employees nationwide, and closing six of its 80 district offices. “Administrative staff positions at the district level, nationwide, are being reduced by 15 percent,” the release states.
